Once in a while, I get to participate in something very special.
This past Saturday, I was privileged to attend the Key Ceremony as Cpl. Josh Langston-White and his family received their new home, built by Homes For Our Troops (HFOT).
These homes are specially adapted custom homes built to meet the specific needs of seriously injured post 9/11 Veterans and help restore some of the freedom and independence our Veterans sacrificed while defending our country, enabling them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives.
Our Friends and Partners at C.H.I. Overhead Doors donate the garage door and opener systems to every home HFOT builds.
They gave us the privilege of installing this system, and more importantly, to participate in helping to rebuild the lives of a very special family.
Our lead Technician, Wayne, a Navy Vet himself, flew our Colors the day he installed the garage door (he wouldn’t let me pay him for the day.)

Check out these pages and websites, and maybe, participate in something very special yourself to help our Veterans.
